Championing a Healthier Workforce
At Bradley Group, we believe that a thriving workforce begins with genuine care for the people behind it. That’s why we recently hosted a Health and Wellbeing Supply Chain Event, focused on promoting mental health and wellbeing across our business and the wider industry.
The event brought together employees, consultants and supply chain partners for a day dedicated to physical health, nutrition and mental wellbeing, underlining Bradley Group’s commitment to supporting people beyond the workplace.
Working Together to Support Health and Wellbeing
Director Andy Hill opened the event by emphasising the importance of wellbeing in an industry where physical and mental demands are high. As he shared:
The event was created to prioritise health and wellbeing not just within our company, but across our supply chain and client network. After offering enhanced blood testing to our employees, we saw a clear positive impact on both mental and physical wellbeing. This inspired us to extend the initiative to our wider supply chain.
The event also welcomed the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA), the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) , the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG) and PERSES Health and Safety – organisations that continue to champion health and wellbeing across our sector. Their presence and support reflected a shared dedication to improving working conditions and supporting the people who make our industry what it is.

Health Screenings, Consultations and More
Throughout the day, attendees took part in a range of health-focused activities and consultations. Expert clinicians from Science2Health provided enhanced blood test screenings, health assessments and personalised nutritional advice, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of their overall wellbeing.
Guests were also offered one-to-one consultations with doctors, creating space to discuss health concerns and preventative strategies confidentially and constructively. These sessions reflected Bradley Group’s proactive approach – not just responding to health challenges, but helping to prevent them before they arise.
The event also featured interactive sessions from Farmer Strong, whose hands-on fitness and wellbeing activities encouraged attendees to think differently about how they manage physical and mental health in demanding work environments.

Great Food and Shared Conversations
No wellbeing day would be complete without great food and Bradley Group made sure of it. Guests were treated to freshly prepared, nutritious dishes served by a private chef, with a focus on balance, energy and enjoyment. The menu reflected the theme of the day – health-conscious yet indulgent – encouraging everyone to take time to enjoy good food and good company. Lunch provided the perfect opportunity for informal conversations between colleagues, health professionals and partners – reinforcing the day’s message that mental health and wellbeing thrive in open, supportive environments where people can connect.

Building a Culture of Care
Beyond the practical screenings and sessions, the day fostered connection and conversation, breaking down stigmas around mental health and creating opportunities for open discussion. Informal networking, a healthy BBQ and relaxed group sessions gave everyone a chance to engage with colleagues and wellbeing professionals in a supportive setting.
As Andy Hill shared in his reflections on the event,
We want to lead by example – demonstrating that mental health and wellbeing are not add-ons, but essential to a sustainable and successful business.
That commitment is echoed in every level of the organisation, from leadership to site teams and extends to the partners and contractors who work alongside Bradley Group daily.

Industry Recognition and Ongoing Commitment
The success of the event didn’t go unnoticed. The initiative was featured in ARCA News, where Bradley Group was commended for leading the way in championing workplace wellbeing and mental health across the demolition and asbestos removal sectors.
Bradley Group’s focus on workplace wellbeing and mental health and wellbeing continues beyond the event. Plans are already underway for future initiatives designed to provide ongoing education, access to professional health services and wellbeing resources for employees and partners.
By investing in initiatives like this, Bradley Group is setting a new standard for care, inclusion and proactive wellbeing in the construction and demolition industries – proving that when we prioritise people, everyone benefits.
Andy Hill shared:
The feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with the event being praised as a huge success. We are proud to be the first company in our industry to host an event of this kind.
We are especially grateful for the support from ARCA and other industry bodies not only for attending the event, but also for their continued commitment to promoting health and wellbeing across the industry.
We’re already looking forward to planning the next one!
