February 2020, our client Lendlease informed us that by 2022 diesel fuels could no longer be used on their projects. The main alternative fuel for our equipment will be Hydro-treated Vegetable Oil (HVO), which although is 10% more expensive, will cut emissions by 90%.Our journey into true sustainability began. We signed up to the SME Climate Hub, The Climate Pledge and became a member of the United Nations Race to Zero Campaign
Last Friday we held an open day, along with Rye Demolition, at Worsley Plant yard in Middlewhich to share a number of ways how we have been reducing our environmental impact in the demolition industry.
