We safely demolished the old classroom blocks and dining hall (the old school hall is being retained and refurbished) to allow for the construction of a new library and community facilities. Critical to this project was managing the interface between the asbestos removal and mechanical demolition to meet the tight programme. The project will produce 5,000 tonnes of re-usable 6F2 to be reused on the development and approximately 120 tonnes of general waste. Our recycling target on this project is 99% by volume.
- Removal of asbestos containing materials (ACMs)
- Demolition of required buildings
- Removal of all demolition waste
- Control of environmental hazards such as noise and dust
